Yes. If you are aged 65 years or over or you are at higher risk
Every September we start our flu immunisations and contact all our patients on the ‘at risk’ registers patients. Please get in touch with us if you are not contacted to come in if you think you are entitled to a flu injection. Other patients who do not fall within these groups and wish to be vaccinated can approach their local chemist to have the vaccination.
Everybody aged 65 and over should now be immunised to help protect them against pneumococcal infection which can cause diseases such as pneumonia, septicaemia (blood poisoning) and meningitis. Please phone the surgery during September to make an appointment if the above applies to you.
